About us

Welcome to Serious Injury Law, a trading style of Serious Law LLP. Recommended by The Legal 500, we are one of the UK’s leading law firms in the field of catastrophic injury claims, with a particular emphasis on high-value, difficult liability cases.

Recommended by many leading organisations to act in such cases, we have achieved numerous multi-million pound settlements in cases of the utmost complexity, and have dealt with some of the largest cases to have taken place in the UK to date. A number of these high value settlements have been achieved in cases that were rejected by other firms, having concluded that there were insufficient prospects of success.

We are dedicated to excellence in all areas of client care, and offer a nationwide face-to-face client service that is delivered professionally and sensitively. This has helped the practice to develop close relationships with leading charities, spinal centres, medical and care experts, specialist barristers and other leading professionals in the field of serious and catastrophic injury.

In order to help our clients rebuild and regain control of their lives, we offer an all-encompassing service that not only includes legal assistance, but also the facilitation of rehabilitation, vocational training, housing adaptation, nursing care, and more.

Core values

We are dedicated to excellence in all areas of our practice. We recognise that the success of our firm is determined by our relationships with all those we encounter, whether they are clients, employees, or business partners. The firm's core values underpin this pursuit:

Professional Excellence

In order to maintain our position as leading experts in the field of serious and catastrophic injury cases, we continually strive for professional excellence.

This extends beyond legal expertise, and also encompasses a deep understanding of the practical and medical implications of serious injury.

Personalised Support

Our clients must often allow our lawyers access to very personal and sensitive areas of their lives. It is important that this intimacy is not taken for granted.

Every situation must be treated as unique, because every case will have its own particular nuances and bespoke requirements.

Our ultimate aim is to establish close relationships with our client and their loved ones. These relationships will continue throughout the lifetime of a case, and beyond.

Transparency

We recognise that our clients will want to know exactly what is happening with their case at all times. It is through regular and transparent communication, in whatever way they feel most comfortable, that we can build a trusting and long lasting relationship.

Continuous Innovation

Whilst always staying abreast of changes in the law, we must embrace innovation as a means of progression and development.

We must be dynamic and take decisive action; balancing our forward-thinking and long-term vision with the requirements of the here and now.

Integrity

The firm has a first-class reputation for honesty and integrity. We aim to lead by example in this regard, and we recognise that our actions must reflect this at all times.
